It’s a common mantra among diehard libertarians to say that the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are basically the same, that they are together the UniParty. To be sure, that perception is not entirely wrong. But there are two big problems with embracing that political worldview.
I think you are right that to move Liberterian policies forward more focus has to be on a combination of alliances with the two major coalitions which is what the parties are imo and running and winning legislative races to develop leverage for coalitions.
